Globalization

The most interesting part of the ideas that Friedman discussed in globalization was the  superempowered  individual. The examples that he gave were very good at displaying how powerful an individual person can become if they know what to do. He also demonstrates how it can be for better or for worse, which is usually the way most things are, but the way he juxtaposes the two situations really helps to point out the different ways that someone can affect the world today. I think that as time goes on it may become easier to become a super empowered individual because of the advances in technology. With events like the Arab Spring happen today it seems like it should be even easier for people like Jody Williams to spread their message. At the same time I also find it incredible that the world has become so economically connected that it can be as powerful, if not more powerful than actual combat based warfare.
